Welcome to the largest photographic archive in Bulgaria. Since its establishment in 1999, Academy of Photography Bulgaria “Yanka Kyurkchieva” has had the mission to preserve and promote Bulgarian photography. Already then the photographic archive of the Academy of Photography was established. It includes over 12,000 photographs by more than 400 authors. The archive includes negatives and photographic paper copies. It houses numerous photographic exhibitions, as well as individual images of well-known and not so well-known Bulgarian authors.

This website has the mission to present the digitized image of our archive and make its treasures accessible to the general public. In it you will find publications about individual artists, exhibitions and thematic galleries.
